Our Goods

  • We have made every effort to display all colours, markings, textures and finishes accurately in our marketing materials but we cannot guarantee that a print-out/device’s display of the colours accurately reflects the colour of the goods. Your goods may vary slightly from these images.
  • Surfaces may not always be totally level, in order to retain the saw markings.
  • Edges may not always be totally straight, as natural curves and characteristics such as knot holes and shakes are retained and sanded in.
  • The manufacturing process is left visible, including saw and strap marks, knots and age rings. As a result of this, please be aware that goods purchased in separate orders may vary in appearance. Please contact us prior to placing your order if this may be a problem for you.
  • If we are making the goods to measurements you have given us, you are responsible for ensuring that these measurements are correct.
  • We make every effort to be as accurate as possible but due to the natural materials used and our handmade process, all dimensions are approximate and are measured to the nearest centimetre.
  • All advice or recommendation provided by us or our employees as to the care, maintenance or use of the goods which is not confirmed in writing by us is followed or acted upon entirely at your own risk. Consequently, we will not be liable for any such unconfirmed advice or recommendation.
  • All orders for bespoke items must be specified in writing and are subject to our express acceptance. With respect to bespoke items produced according to your specifications, your submission of any design specifications to us shall constitute an assignment to us of all worldwide rights, titles, and interests in all copyrights, design rights and other intellectual property rights in the specifications and furthermore you shall defend us at your expense and pay all costs and damages of any kind (including our legal fees) incurred by us as the result of any suit or other legal proceeding against us for infringement of any patent, trademarks, copyrights, design rights or other rights by reason of use of such specifications, provided we promptly notify you of such claim of, or suit for, infringement and tender the defence thereof to you. Additionally, at our option, we may be separately represented in any such suit at our own expense.

Cancellation and Returns

  • Under the Online and Distance Selling Regulations, you are entitled to cancel your contract within 14 days after the day on which goods are received. This is the statutory cooling off period. After this period has expired there is no right to cancel. Item(s) cannot be returned or cancelled after the 14-day cooling off period unless the item is confirmed as defective.
  • Your right as a consumer to change your mind and any right to an exchange under these terms does not apply in respect of any bespoke goods, whether ordered in person or remotely, stock clearance or ex-display items bought in person from our showroom or any other premises we may operate from time to time, and for hygiene reasons, mattresses where you have removed the protective wrapping.
  • In order to exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us in writing via email or post including your Order Number and date of order as part of your correspondence.
  • If you want to end a contract before the goods you have ordered are delivered, where we are not at fault and you are not a consumer who has changed their mind, just contact us to let us know. The contract will end immediately, and we will refund any sums paid by you for goods not provided but we may deduct from that refund (or, if you have not made an advance payment, charge you) reasonable compensation for the net costs we will incur as a result of your ending the contract; and a charge of £45 if you exercise your right to end the contract in accordance with this clause within 3 working days of the agreed delivery date. This clause does not apply to bespoke items, which are non-refundable unless faulty.
  • If you wish to return an item for a refund (unless the item is faulty), it is your responsibility to make arrangements with us for the return of the goods, via our delivery team at your own cost and in new condition. Note that we are permitted by law to reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the goods, if this has been caused by you handling them in a way which would not be permitted in our showroom or if the returned goods have not been looked after by you with reasonable care and are not in the condition that they were in when they were delivered to, or collected by, you. We reserve the right to deduct from your refund any loss of value to the goods as a result of your use or damage.
  • Every effort will be made to ensure that the goods you have ordered arrive undamaged and without defect. However, if the goods are found to be either damaged or defective in any way at the time of delivery, you have the right to a full refund including any delivery charges (where applicable); or a repair.
  • In the event that a repair cannot be made, we will replace the items, or give a full refund including any delivery charges (where applicable). The goods that are deemed faulty revert to the ownership of Raw Furniture UK and must be in our possession before monies are refunded.
